Our Preliminary task - HITLIST

We needed to create a video for our preliminary task that needed to be under a minute and then include the following 3 camera shot: shot reverse shot, 180 degree rule and then match on action.

before this we had already done, another video which was in French. This video had a similar conversation as in both video's their was talk of the mafia. We decided to change the old video because we had a better idea in mind.
Also the reason that we had changed it back from French to English, was because we wouldn't have enough time to fit everything in, as we could not speak French very well, so we just decided to change it back to English, so we could get everything we needed in to the newly developed film.

logo

This is the logo that I created using photo shop.->

I called the logo, Reel film productions. the reason I called it this, is because the picture I had was film reel so I thought it would be clever to add a word play into the logo to add humour.

One other reason that I used a picture of film reel for my logo is to show the early stages of filming and that older versions of filming are still just as good as more modernised filming that we all are used to now.
I think that using an image of some film reel would be completely different to everyone else's logo's as I thought that everybody would use modern film camera's, animals or anything but what I had did. One other reason why I thought that adding originality to my logo would differentiate it from everyone else's and make mine stand out more, as it was different from everybody else's logo's.

I tried to make my logo as simple as possible, but yet making it an effective logo at the same time. the reason I didn't want to make my logo too complicated, as it might confuse any viewer of my logo, so I decided to have a one image logo, as they can usually be made to be both simple and effective at the same time. This is also why I included the pun into the logo as I thought, when people look at my logo, this is the thing that people will remember about my logo, making it both simple and effective.

The reason that I had added the golden outline to my logo was to give it more colour as before I added it, the logo didn't have much colour and looked quite dull without the colour that I added.

STATEMENT OF INTENT

Statement Of Intent

I am George Ellery, I am 16 years old and I’m doing an A-level course in Media Studies, Drama and a BTEC in ICT. This is the first time I have done Media Studies as a subject because I have never had the option to do it at any of my other schools I have attended.

 

I do have slight experience editing and shooting video’s as my friend used to create YouTube videos and I used to help editing and filming them with him. What I hope to achieve from this A-level course is achieving good grades throughout this course as I might want to get a job that requires Media skills later on in life.

I have also completed the first task for our Media Class with the group that I was in, here is the video of what we had done:

There are many different type of film/ TV genres that I like:

1. action
2. adventure
3. thriller
4. crime thrillers
5. comedy
6. rom-coms
7. fiction
8. anime

And also my favourite actors are Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, Liam Neeson and Will ferrell. These actors are some of my favourites because they are really funny or do really great films, with some really great scenes, either they are funny or thrilling.

There are also many different anime's that I quite like: dragon ball z, YU-GI-OH and a few others that I like but not as much as these ones, but bear in mind that I haven't seen a lot of anime's.

 

I also like to play sports when I get the chance, some of my favourite sports include:

1. tennis
2. cricket
3. Ping-Pong
4. badminton

But since I moved to Calne a few years ago, I have not really had the chance to pursue, the sports listed as I never had the free time to go to clubs that cater to these sports.
